About ECAC

Our Mission is Advancing Knowledge and Changing Lives!

Early College Academy of Columbus (ECAC) is the only early college high school in the West – Central Georgia area, and one of nine high schools in the Muscogee County School District. We are a very proud partner with Columbus State University. This partnership exposes students to resources, rigor, and the intensity of college – level academics.

Students will be placed on a fast track to complete Georgia high school graduation requirements so that they can begin to take Move On When Ready (MOWR) classes on the college campus in the 11th grade. Students may also opt to take courses at Columbus Technical College. Students will maintain close contact with personal advisors who will support and guide them toward academic success.

The focus is on academics; however, students may participate in a variety of clubs and activities, such as Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Student Government Association (SGA), Academic Decathlon, Robotics team, and more.

At ECAC, everyone works together to make college a reality for all students. The goal is to earn as many college hours as possible while still in high school. All hours earned count towards a four – year bachelor’s degree.
